UPDATE: Mile Marker 28 Fire is 100 Percent Contained

UPDATE: 

Crews are finishing their final clean up of the Mile Marker 28 fire on Tuesday.

Fire crews said the blaze is now 100% contained.

It burned about 26,000 acres near Satus Pass.

350 firefighters are still on the scene making sure all lines are secure.

If the weather permits, they should be done by Wednesday or Thursday.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
 
GOLDENDALE, Wash.--A smaller management team is taking over the "Mile Marker 28" fire near Goldendale.
 
Personnel will drop down from over 600 to around 170 people on the front lines.
 
Crews said they're confident containment lines are adequate enough to prevent any new escapes.
 
The wildfire grew to a little over 26,000 and is 91 percent contained.
