Sweets enter final series pushing for division title

Posted: Updated:

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- It is a battle for first with one series left. The Walla Walla Sweets are tied atop the West Coast League North with the Wenatchee AppleSox. Friday the Sweets visit the Bend Elks. Those final three games could determine the playoff pairings. If not, the Sweets will play a makeup game August 12 at Wenatchee.

"There is more pressure on us cause we're winning. But we're all still relaxed and still having fun. I think that's the main reason why we're winning. Personally I want to win it all, I mean we're here. I want to take the championship and hopefully bring it back," Sweets catcher Ranae Martinez said.
