Lightning lit up the sky over the Inland Northwest Friday night and lasted well into Saturday morning. When I got into work Saturday morning, we have over 125 pictures sent in to us through email and Facebook, so naturally, I wanted to compile all of those pictures into one slideshow so we can re-live the magnificent storm all over again!     COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - The lawyer for Danish inventor Peter Madsen says she will appeal his murder conviction and life sentence. Betina Hald Engmark told a Copenhagen court she would appeal Wednesday's sentence, the longest possible against her client. Madsen was convicted of murder for the slaying and dismemberment of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, 30, aboard his hand-built submarine in August.

    SEATTLE (AP) - A former science teacher at a Seattle private school has pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography.   The Seattle Times reports 42-year-old Gabriel Cronin pleaded guilty Tuesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Donohue.   Cronin was fired from the Seattle Academy after his arrest in November that came when a cousin notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Cronin said he had been addicted to child pornography.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane police say a pedestrian is dead after they were hit by a car near 3rd and Liberty Park Place east of downtown Spokane Tuesday night. Neighbors in the area called police after hearing a crash, coming out to investigate and finding a person in the street. Arriving officers and medical crews began lifesaving efforts, but were not successful and the pedestrian died.
