Selah Holds All Night Relay for Life

Posted: Updated:

SELAH, Wash.-- Selah holds their annual Relay for Life event all night Saturday night.

It's happening on the junior high track.

Relay for Life events support cancer research.

In addition to the walk, there are also food vendors and a silent auction.

All of the money raised will go toward cancer research.

For many people involved in the relay, the battle against cancer is personal.

"I am a cancer survivor, and my hope and goal is that my children never have to sit in a chemo chair or have to make those decisions and that's what every one of us is out here for," said Jamie Cravy with the Upper Valley Relay for Life.

The relay continues through tonight until ten o'clock Sunday morning.

It's happening at the Selah Junior High track.

They'll also hold a ceremony at nine tonight, where they read the names of people who have fought cancer.
