Kennewick Home Destroyed After Saturday Fire, Help Needed

KENNEWICK, Wash- A home destroyed by a fire in kennewick last night is a complete loss.

The fire is believed to have started outside the home of Brady Peterson that he shared with Jared Scott and Tasha South.

Peterson was inside the home at the time but was able to get himself and his dog out safely.

He said he was able to roll Scott's motorcycle to safety before the heat was too much. He said he hiss thankful firefighters were able to rescue his motorcycle because his car was also destroyed.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation but the Kennewick Fire Department is keeping watch today on the burnt structure.

"It was basically a fully engulfed structure fire. They had fire on the outside, along with high winds, we had yesterday was blowing the fire and it caused the fire to spread to the interior of the structure and also posing a threat to additional structures in the area," said Captain Nathan Rabe, Kennewick Fire Department. 

Peterson lost everything in the fire but has already received some furniture and clothes donations.

Anyone wishing to donate can go to any US Bank branch and donate under the names Brady Peterson, Natasha South, or Jared Scott.
