Teenager Recovering after Being Stabbed

Posted: Updated:

TOPPENISH, Wash.-- A 17-year-old boy was stabbed on the 200 block of Bolin Drive in Toppenish.

It happened around 10:00 Saturday night in an apartment complex.

The victim had non-life threatening stab wounds to his arm, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Neighbors said they see crime happening a lot in this area.

One resident said there was a lot of police activity during the whole ordeal, but thinks if you are smart, you can stay safe.

"I think it all just depends on if you bother people, or stuff like that," said Jacklyn Romero who lives and works in the area.

Toppenish police said there are two suspects involved.

They are 23-year-old Domingo Gomez-Moreno and 26-year-old Humberto Gomez-Moreno.

They said one suspect was armed with a knife and the other suspect pointed a gun at the victim.

Both were booked into jail on first-degree assault charges; the motive is still unknown.

Police said this was not a gang-related incident.

WASHINGTON: It's barely pumpkin latte season and already signs are up advertising *flu* shots! One vaccine that's been off the market for a couple years is back this year. Two years ago the nasal spray vaccine was taken off the market because the Center for Disease Control said it was no longer effective for that particular flu season. For those who tend to get a little needle frantic, the CDC now says this year's nasal spray vaccine should be effective for this year's flu strain. I...More >>
