Construction in Richland to Close Spengler Street

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. - Drivers in Richland should plan to avoid parts of Spengler Street and Fowler street this week for construction.

City crews are in the process of finishing curb and gutter work on the Spengler Street Project and the Fowler Street Project in preparation for paving later in the week.

Crews plan to close Spengler Street on Wednesday and Thursday, the 14th and 15th, and possibly Monday the 19th, from 7:30 in the morning until 5 at night. The city says people who live in the area will still be able to access their homes.

Crews plan to pave Fowler Street on Friday, August 16th, and while there will be traffic restrictions, the street isn't scheduled to close. The street will still have business access.

City crews will temporarily stripe the areas for traffic control when the paving has been completed, followed by the permanent striping over the next few days.

Workers ask that you use caution if you need to drive through the area.
