KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Northwest Cancer Clinic will offer free prostate screenings this week.
Wednesday August 14 from 4pm-7pm and Friday August 16 from 4pm-7pm, local prostate cancer experts and doctors will volunteer their time to answer any questions.
Doctors say men should be screened for prostate cancer if they are over 50, or in special circumstances, over 40, with eligibility based on family history. Prostate cancer is the second most common type of cancer among men in this country.
The Physician Volunteer Team includes Dr. Robert Chin, Dr. Sheila Rege, Dr. Eugene Hong-Radiation Oncologists at Northwest Cancer Clinic and Dr. Fred Foss, Dr. Naeem Chavla, Dr. Animesh Sahai, Dr. John Medica- Tri-City area Urologists.
The screening is co-sponsored by Quest Dianostics.
