Woman Finds Lost Cockatiel at Frontier Park in Pasco

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - If you recently lost your pet cockatiel, a woman in Pasco may have some good news for you.

In late July, Melinda Hartmann and her daughter saw the little green bird in a tree at Frontier Park in Pasco.

Hartmann says the bird was hungry, thirsty and scared, but when she went to leave the park the cockatiel followed. That's when she knew it had to be someone's pet, and took it home to help.

"He's healthy," Hartmann said, "he's just kind of skittish and scared. He doesn't know what's going on and he doesn't know what to do. It would be like if you were lost, you'd be scared too."

The little green bird is currently staying at Paw's Natural Pet Emporium, at 1420 Jadwin Avenue in Richland.

If you think this cockatiel might be yours, just head to the store and talk to the Dorothy. You can also call the store at (509) 943-6640.
