Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. -- The Spokane Indians used a 3-run second inning to beat the Tri-City Dust Devils on Wednesday night, 3-2.  The win, paired with Everett's 10-1 loss to Vancouver, gives Spokane (10-10) sole possession of first place in the North Division's second half standings.

John Niggle (1-0) picked up the victory, allowing two runs on five hits for the Indians.  Spokane closes out their eight-game road trip Thursday against the Dust Devils before returning home to Avista Stadium on Friday in a SWX broadcast game against the Hillsboro Hops.
