Grape Society Holds Viticulture Field Day on Friday

Posted: Updated:

PROSSER, Wash. - The Washington State Grape Society and WSU Viticulture and Enology Program hold a statewide viticulture field day on Friday, August 16th.

It's a chance for the public to learn about the inner workings of the wine industry, including nutrient and water management in vineyards, and a sneak-peak on grape fungicide efficacy trials.

The event starts at 8 AM at the WSU-IAREC Roza Research Farm off of McCreadie Road in Prosser, followed by a lunch from Garcia's Tex-Mex and a then tour of the Zirkle Wine Company's new crush facility.

The field day will cost you $10, and there's no need to RSVP.

For more information about attending the event, go to www.grapesociety.org
