Richland Police Need Help Identifying Hit-and-Run Driver

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. - The Richland Police Department is asking the community for help to identify a driver from a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday.

Officers say around 10:30 a.m. a skateboarder was crossing in the area of Lee between Thayer and Snow when a car turned the corner and either hit the skateboarder or caused the skateboarder to fall. The driver offered the victim a ride and money but couldn't stay because she needed to pick her children up at daycare.

The skateboarder rode off with scrapes and bruises and eventually went to an emergency room with some significant injuries.

Police say the driver is a white or Hispanic woman in her late 20's or early 30's. She has dark hair, dark eyes, around 5'06", and weighs around 120 lbs.

The vehicle is a silver or gray early to late 2000 model Mercedes Benz 4 door sedan, possibly a C class.

Anyone with information can call Corporal Erik Lundquist at the Richland Police Department at 942-7716.
