PASCO, Wash. - 100 children will have new backpacks for school this year thanks to Fluor Federal Services.
As part of the company's Building Futures program, Fluor Federal Services in Richland handed out the backpacks to children at the Boys and Girls Club's Bobbie Littrell Branch in Pasco this week.
About 70 children attend that Boys and Girls Club branch on a daily basis, and over 90% of them qualify for free or reduced lunch.
This is the 13th year Fluor has bought the backpacks. Every year the employees donate money or school supplies to fill them.
