Kids Take The Stage In Seuss Musical

RICHLAND, Wash.- If you are a fan of green eggs and ham, then there's a show in the Tri-Cities for you.

The Academy of Children's Theatre in Richland will perform Seussical the musical. This week was their technical camp where kids learned how to operate lighting and sound equipment, paint sets, and design costumes and props. The show itself is a self discovery musical that teaches kids how to be yourself.

"My favorite part of the process has been watching the growth happen. There were a lot of people coming into this who didn't have much experience singing at all," said Musical Director Melissa Schenter.

"It's just a joy to see them singing together and dancing and playing off each other," explained Adele Connors, the Director of Development at ACT. "There's a lot of humor in the show. It's something that small children will enjoy as well as grandparents."

The performances start Friday night at 7 p.m. Saturday there will be a matinee at 3 p.m. and another performance at 7. ACT is located off of Wellsian Way in Richland.
