KENNEWICK, Wash.- Saturday night a man who had meth on his person allegedly tried to steal from a young woman according to Kennewick police.

NBC Right Now spoke with the girl Sunday but she was not willing to go on camera. She said  it happened on 4th avenue. 32 year-old Thomas Jennings asked her if she had any money. When she said no he grabbed at a bag of food that she was carrying and scratched her. When the girl threatened to call police, the man ran but he showed up later walking by her house.
