RICHLAND, Wash. - Two suspects are in custody after police say they caught them red handed on Saturday, stealing items out of cars.

Richland police say around 4:30 a.m., they responded to a call about a vehicle prowl in progress on the 1100 block of Country Ridge Drive. The caller told police he was watching the suspect steal items out of another person's trunk and then putting them in his car.

When officers arrived they arrested Eric Gaines, 23, and Lidiya Fisher, 22, both from Pasco. Officers say they found stolen mail, car stereos, and tools inside the suspect's car. They also found meth in Gaine's wallet.

Both suspects are facing charges for vehicle prowling and possession of stolen property. Gaines is also facing charges for possession of meth. Officers booked the two into the Benton County Jail.
