CWU football to rely heavily on senior leadership

Posted: Updated:

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Central Washington University football returns with some solid senior leadership. Safety Stan Langlow and offensive lineman Mike Nelson are pre-season Division II All-Americans. Langlow is the reigning GNAC defensive player of the year. In 2012 he led the Wildcats in tackles with 81. Both seniors are adjusting positions with Langlow going back to safety from linebacker and Nelson shifting from right tackle to left tackle.

"It's a little weight on your shoulders I think that as long as I keep doing what I've always done, then that's the reason I got this role. So I don't feel like I should change anything. Just keep being the person I am. It'll carry over," Langlow said.

"I'm coming back from injury so I have a bit more motivation I think. I'm just excited to be out here with everyone. It's the first camp I've been real excited about everything," Nelson added.
