KENNEWICK, Wash. Ben Franklin Transit has added another stop for people headed to the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo.
Fair goers from South Richland can pick up a ride at the Tulip Lane parking lot of the three wineries on Columbia Park Trail.
BFT Spokeswoman Christy Watts says the shuttles gave nearly 50,000 rides to the fairgrounds last year.
"It's absolutely the best way to get to the fair," Watts says. "I love it when I'm leaving the fairgrounds and see all the people in their cars and we get priority out of there. They stop the cars and let the buses through."
Fair goers can also pick up shuttles at the Pasco transfer center on 22nd Street, the Knight Street transfer center in Richland, and Lampson Stadium and Kamiakin High School in Kennewick.
The shuttles run every hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and then every half hour from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. Rides cost $1.50 each way. A family of four can ride for $4.
