13-25687- Assault DV/ 1900 blk W. 5th Ave.
Officer Rosane contacted a female victim in reference to an assault DV which had occurred in the early morning hours. She stated that her husband arrived at the location and a confrontation ensued. During the confrontation he caused an abrasion to her arm. He was contacted and arrested for assault DV; a no contact order was issued.

13-25686- Burglary/ 1000 blk S. Highlands Dr.
Officer Melone responded to this residence in reference to a burglary. The residence has been vacant for the past 3 years and appears to be in the process of foreclosure. An unknown suspect entered the residence and broke out multiple windows. A bat was recovered and dusted for prints, none were located. No suspect information at this time.

13-25699- Death Investigation/ Columbia Park
Officers responded to Columbia Park in reference to a dead body. A boater had observed a body on the bank of the river at approximately 0900 hours. As the boater passed back through approximately 3 hours later he again observed the body. The boater was able to flag down someone who was walking in the park and they checked on the body. The BCSO Coroner is working on confirming the identity and cause of death.

13-25720- Field Arrest/ 2600 blk W. Albany Ave.                                                                   Officer Rosane received information that Raymond Kairuz was in the area and was wanted on multiple warrants. Officer Rosane spotted Kairuz driving a vehicle and stopped him. Kairuz fled on foot but stopped as soon as verbal commands were given. Kairuz was arrested on 8 felony warrants, 3 misdemeanor warrants, DWLS and fail to obey a police officer.


Structure Fire / 1906 W. 43rd Pl
KFD responded for a report of heavy smoke in the area, on arrival, and after receiving additional calls, the residence at 1906 W. 43rd Pl was found to be fully involved. No persons were injured in the fire, the cause of which is still under investigation by KFD

13-25748 – Vehicle Theft / West Coast Auto Sales

Owner, Justin Henning reported 2 vehicles were stolen from the lot sometime after 08/09/2013 at 1950hrs. The vehicles were described as, Vehicle number 1, a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali, black in color. VIN for the vehicle is WBXPA73404WC42041. A large white sticker reading "West Coast Auto Sales" was displayed in the vehicle`s rear window. Vehicle number 2 was a 2004 BMW X3, grey in color. VIN for the vehicle is 1GKFK03229R154045. The vehicle did not have a license plate attached to it. A large white sticker reading "West Coast Auto Sales" was displayed in the vehicle`s rear window.

13-25796 – Theft / 10 N. Olympia
Officers responded for a report of 2 females who were physical in the yard of the location. They were fighting over a stolen cell phone. The female who stole the cell phone was booked into jail for the theft.
