Woman Dies from Injuries Following Pendleton Crash
PENDLETON, Ore. - A woman from Port Orchard, Washington has died from her injuries after a crash in Pendleton.
Oregon State Police say Monday morning, 21-year-old Ashleigh C. Williams was driving on Interstate 84 when she drifted towards the center median and lost control, crashing into a guardrail and leaving the roadway.
Paramedics took her to a hospital in Portland with critical injuries, where she later died on Thursday.
Paramedics took her brother, 18-year-old Jared Williams to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the young woman may have fallen asleep at the wheel, but state troopers are still investigating as to what caused the crash.
