YAKIMA, Wash.-- A Yakima man who was seriously injured in a shootout with police will go through another round of evaluations to see if he is fit to stand trial.

Friday, a judge decided to send Lance Nanamkin to St. Luke's Hospital in Spokane for more evaluations to see if he is competent to go before a judge.

Nanamkin suffered serious injuries during a police shootout in 2011.

He was declared unfit to stand trial, and charges were dropped against him.  He was committed to Eastern State Hospital.
