Storm Knocks Out Power To 150 Homes, Businesses

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - A passing storm knocked out power to more than 150 homes and businesses in southern Idaho.
    
The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/15bShVH ) Sunday night's outages were in Twin Falls, Kimberly, Hansen, Murtaugh and Hazelton.
    
The storm knocked down telephone poles and blew line fuses. Crews were fixing the lines and power was expected to be restored by early Monday.
    
About 50 outages were reported in Hazelton and 100 in Murtaugh.
    
Idaho Power says outages also were reported in Hansen but did not provide details.

    SHELLEY, Idaho (AP) - An eastern Idaho police officer has died after suffering an apparent heart attack while responding to a disturbance. Shelley Police Chief Rod Mohler says Sgt. Kent Swanson suffered the heart attack at about 10:30 p.m. Monday.    Mohler says Swanson was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
