Storm Knocks Out Power To 150 Homes, Businesses

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - A passing storm knocked out power to more than 150 homes and businesses in southern Idaho.
    
The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/15bShVH ) Sunday night's outages were in Twin Falls, Kimberly, Hansen, Murtaugh and Hazelton.
    
The storm knocked down telephone poles and blew line fuses. Crews were fixing the lines and power was expected to be restored by early Monday.
    
About 50 outages were reported in Hazelton and 100 in Murtaugh.
    
Idaho Power says outages also were reported in Hansen but did not provide details.

State police say 36-year-old Brett Reynolds, of Whitehall, took his mother's car late Tuesday and allowed the child to steer while Reynolds worked the pedals.

    HAMILTON, Wash. - Officials say that flooding was worse than expected on the Skagit River north of Seattle. The Skagit-Valley Herald reports that water in Skagit County was receding Friday morning with the river level dropping. The flooding peaked Thursday, closing roads and prompting several homes in Hamilton to be evacuated during the Thanksgiving holiday.
