Franklin Co. Dispatchers Honored for 20 Years of Service

PASCO, Wash. - Three Franklin County employees were honored Tuesday afternoon for putting in decades of work.

Sheriff Richard Lathim presented Kraig Warr, Barbara Hart and Sheryl Trujillo with certificates for serving 20 years as 911 dispatchers.

It's a job that can be quite stressful at times.

Warr responded by saying, "You just don't take it home with you. You focus on the positive things that happen, there's a lot of good people out there doing good service and just focus on those sort of things."

Hart replied, "A lot of people say you put 20 in and you retire. But I'm not at an age now where I'd retire, I love this job. I do it because I love the job. It's not about the pay and it's not about the benefits. It's about the people that you work with, it's about the job that you do and that you enjoy it."

Sheriff Lathim hired all three of the dispatchers back in 1993.
