SLIDESHOW:Suspect Kidnaps Man, Leads Police on Chase Through Pasco
PASCO, Wash. - A kidnapping in Franklin County early Wednesday
morning led to a police chase in Pasco and now the suspect is in jail
facing several charges.
Officers say a man left his job at
Douglas Fruit in Franklin County around 3 a.m. when another man came up
to him in the parking lot with a knife.
Investigators say Sergio
Sanchez-Stuart, 19, ordered the victim to drive him to Pasco and then
told him to get out of the car when they got to town. They say the
victim then called 911 and officers found the car on Court Street.
That's when the police chase began and eventually ended near Sacajawea Park.
Sanchez-Stuart is now in custody in the Franklin County Jail.

along with it under the fear of being hurt," said Det. Lee Barrow with
the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Sanchez-Stuart was a stranger to the victim. Sanchez-Stuart is charged
with attempting to elude police, harassment with a death threat, driving
with a suspended license, robbery, rape, and extortion. Investigators
say he'll likely face kidnapping charges as well.
