Get Prepared, Win a Prize

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash. - Benton and Franklin County Emergency Management Services are holding a contest in September aimed at getting you and your family ready for a potential disaster or other emergency.
The agencies are joining emergency services across Washington State partnering with CRESA, the Clark County Regional Emergency Services Agency, which has launched an online social media game. Every day through September, you can go to 30Days30Ways.com and take part in a challenge. You'll submit your entry through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr, and every day judges will pick winners of Starbuck and Amazon gift cards.

Benton County Emergency Services Manager Jeremy Beck says the challenges help you and your family learn about getting ready for a potential emergency.

"We all talk about preparedness, and see it on the news the tragic things that happen, and think we need to be prepared. It's time to start taking some action and getting prepared."
