MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina say a 12-year-old-boy is alive after being trapped underwater for nine minutes. A video obtained by NBC News shows the boy and his friend swimming around the lazy river at a resort. They removed a metal grate on the floor. The boy was swimming down to explore the hole when his leg became stuck. His friend and several adults tried to get him out, but were unsuccessful.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Former disgraced Spokane Police Sargent Gordon Ennis was expected to be sentenced Wednesday afternoon but it has been delayed. Ennis was convicted of second degree rape for sexually one of his coworkers at a party back in October 2015. Ennis has asked for another attorney to represent him for sentencing and appeal. The new sentencing date will be May 25th, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
