Harvin Eyes Week 7 For Potential Return

Posted: Updated:

When Seattle traded its 2013 first-round draft choice to Minnesota for explosive offensive weapon Percy Harvin in March, fan expectations went from playoff contender to Super Bowl favorite.

However, the expectations and excitement were tempered when the oft-injured Harvin underwent hip surgery Aug. 1 and sidelined indefinitely. The Seahawks placed Harvin on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Harvin made waves on Wednesday when he hinted at a possible Week 7 return, which is the earliest players can be activated off their team's PUP list. Taking to his Twitter account, Harvin wrote: "What's goin 12th man just checkn in ...I'm making serious progress ...keep an eye on week 7...don't hang them 11's up.....we workn".

He continued: "I'm starving so bad to get on this field my ribs showing....there's nothing worse then watching ur boys battle and u can do nothin.just wait".

Harvin appeared in nine games in 2012 -- the fewest in his four-year career -- before being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He has struggled with migraines ever since being drafted No. 22 overall by Minnesota in the 2009 NFL Draft.
