Yakima Police Looking for Shooting Suspect

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Police are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting Thursday morning in Yakima.

Officers responded to the 500 block of South Naches Avenue at seven this morning. When they arrived they found a 38-year old man had been shot twice in the body after getting in a fight with the suspect.

Police say several rounds were fired and one bullet ended up injuring a man in a house nearby.

"Right here," Bobby Stahsburg says as he pulls up his sleeve to reveal a circular wound. "It just clipped me but still, a couple inches it would have been my neck. Could have been all bad, could have been much much worse."

Strahsburg was treated for minor injures. The other victim was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery.

Police continue to investigate. If you have any information call the Yakima Police Department.
