YAKIMA, Wash. -- Seahawk fans put on their navy blue and lime green jerseys and came downtown to watch the opening game for Seattle.
Fans flocked to sports bars and restaurants to watch Seattle take on the Carolina Panthers this morning. Local businesses were happy to see the crowds. They say football season boosts their weekend revenues.
"Oh huge," said Sports Center owner Travis Heitman. "Seahawk Sundays you can tell."
Seahawk fans had something to cheer about at the end of the game as Seattle was able to come away with a victory. Overall Yakima residents and businesses alike are happy to see football back on Sundays.
