Deputies Make More Arrests at "Crime Magnet" Home in Hermiston

HERMISTON, Ore. - The Umatilla County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested two more people from a Hermiston home that they say continues to be a magnet for crime.

Deputies say on Sunday they arrested "Kit" Michael Gibson, 36, at 1735 NE 2nd Street on one count of a felon in possession of a firearm. This is the second time in the last 18 months that they have arrested Gibson for possessing a firearm.

Deputies also arrested Christopher S. Nelsen, 35, at the same home on two warrants issued out of Benton County.

They say this home has been a haven for crime, including an illegal chop shop operation, and they plan to end the cycle of criminal activity.
