Troopers Release Name of Man Killed Along I-82 Near Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says the man killed along I-82 Tuesday morning was Jason Cline, 23, from Kennewick.

Troopers say around 5:20 a.m., Cline was speeding in the eastbound lanes when he went off the road, overcorrected, and rolled his car. Another car driven by 71-year-old Satya Pandey of Richland crashed into him.

Cline was killed at the scene. Pandey was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says the roadway is clear as well.

The DOT expects to have the roadway clear by 10 AM Tuesday morning.

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol is investigating a fatal car crash on Interstate 82, about five miles east of Kennewick.

Troopers say a white car was speeding in the eastbound lanes, when it went off the road, flipped, and was then hit by another car. Troopers say the driver of the white car died at the scene, but troopers haven't released his or her name. 

The driver of the other car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The Department of Transportation said crews planned to have the roadway open to drivers at milepost 117 by 9 AM.
