YAKIMA, Wash. -- Special performer combined humor with a very serious message Tuesday for students and parents at West Valley.
Cary Trivanovich is a nationally known anti-bullying speaker. Middle School and Junior High students watched him perform at a special anti-bullying assembly. Teachers hope today's event will make kids stop and think before they're cruel to one another.
"You may notice our lanyards all have the stuff that says kindness matters," Principal Jim Fannin said. "We're trying to teach our kids to be kind to one another, teachers to students, students to students, teachers to parents and the community."
Parents and guardians were able to catch a special performance Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
