Yakima Police Looking for Shooting Suspects

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima Police are looking for two people who shot and injured a man overnight.

Officers say they were responding to reports of gunshots along 3rd Avenue Thursday night, when a woman called 911 and said her house had been hit by gunfire.

Police say they went to the home on 5th Avenue, and learned a bullet had grazed the head and chest of a 22-year-old man outside.

Officers say the man told police he was about to go inside, when two men, dressed in black fired several shots.

Police say the man is a self-described gang member who wouldn't cooperate.

Officers say he also refused medical treatment for the minor injuries.
