Our friends from all over the Inland Northwest have been posting photos on our KHQ Facebook wall of the dust storm. Our region also experienced lightning along with thunderstorms on Sunday night. On Monday expect partly cloudy, blustery & dusty conditions. High temperatures nose-dive into the 70's…Low/High 59°/74°

Monday: After some wild weather last night conditions will be much calmer, but cooler, today. Still some isolated showers are possible, mostly before noon. The one constant today will be some breezy winds with gusts to 30 mph possible. High: 74°

Monday Night: Mostly dry and partly cloudy, winds start to die down. Much cooler morning temps Low: 52°
 
Tuesday: Another round of showers looking to move in by late morning (across the Palouse) and early afternoon (Spokane, CDA, Northern Interior). Even cooler temps as a trough of low pressure settles in on top of us. High: 70°

(AP) - An umbrella sparked a scare at a Seattle-area hospital after it was mistaken for a rifle.   KOMO reports an employee of Evergreen Medical Center in Kirkland, Washington, noticed a visitor Wednesday morning carrying a backpack that had a long-handled item sticking from the top of it.   Evergreen Health spokeswoman Kay Taylor said surveillance video was reviewed but it wasn't clear what the object was.

    SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Apple is planning to build another corporate campus and hire 20,000 workers during the next five years as part of a $350 billion commitment to the U.S. economy.   The pledge announced Wednesday is an offshoot from the sweeping overhaul of the U.S. tax code championed by President Donald Trump and approved by Congress last month.

    DETROIT (AP) - A judge has awarded $1 million to a Detroit man who spent 25 years in prison before proving that his mother's gun wasn't the murder weapon.   Desmond Ricks is benefiting from a Michigan law that compensates people who are wrongly convicted. Tests last year showed that bullets recovered from the victim didn't match the gun that was presented at trial in 1992.
