Air Craft Makes Emergency Landing on Highway 395 Friday

CONNELL, Wash.- A Washington Wing Civil Air Patrol aircraft made an emergency landing on U.S. Route 395 going southbound just south of Connell at mile post 39 Friday night.
The craft departed from the Tri-Cities airport but soon after the engine stopped working.
The small plane was towed and taken to a parking lot off the Eltopia exit. The Yakima Air Patrol Squadron is waiting to get it back to the Tri-Cities Airport to begin the investigation.

The plane did not hit any vehicles and the landing didn't cause any damage or injuries to the two people on board. 

THe 62-year-old pilot and his co-pilot are both from the Fairchild Composite Squadron in Spokane. and were conducting routine training missions Friday night.
