YAKIMA, Wash. -- The dog days of summer were taken quite literally at Yakima's Randall Park. The Fifth Annual Paws/Bark for Life Saturday morning brought together four legged friends and their humans to fund-raise for Relay for Life. Dogs large and small came out and enjoyed a pulling demonstration from International Gold Medalist "Stormy."
"A lot of people want to bring their dogs out to Relay for Life but we're not really situated for that there so lets have a Relay for Dogs," Paws/Bark for Life Founder Sandi Cok said. "People who enjoy dogs can come out and have a fun time with their dogs and still raise money for American Cancer Society."
The event raised $7,000 on Saturday. Over the past 5 years Bark for Life has raised an estimated $50,000 for the American Cancer Society and cancer research.
