RICHLAND, Wash.- Birds of a feather flock throughout history. That's what people who visited the Richland public library learned Sunday.
A special presentation from the Society of Creative Anachronism called "Medieval Hunting With Falcons and Ferrets" showed how the domesticated animals have served humans throughout many years. They had a falcon and two ferrets to show visitors.
"They're a very good educational group and we wanted to mesh with them and see what we could do," said Earlene Mokler from the Richland Public Library. "It's been very well attended and we've had a good time."
Everyone in attendance learned a bit about how the animals are still used in modern hunting and where the tradition comes from.
