C-Shift


Hit & Run/Edison & Umatilla- A Kennewick School District bus was making a turn onto
Edison Street when the car behind the bus struck it. The car drove up next to the bus
and had a short discussion with the bus driver about contacting her after he pulled to
the side of the road. The car then took off westbound at a high rate of speed on
Umatilla. The collision was minor; there were about 20 students on the bus. The
suspect vehicle is a two door gray sedan.

Stolen Vehicle Arrest/2800 blk W 10th- BCSO Deputy was following up on an unrelated
case when he noticed suspicious subjects moving property from a vehicle. The vehicle
returned as a stolen car out of Pasco. KPD Officers responded and assisted in detaining
4 suspects, one of which had gone into the store. Two females and two males were
detained. KPD assisted in obtaining statements and booking of several of the subjects.
BCSO handled the stolen car recovery, and evidence impound of a second involved car.
One of the females was driving the stolen car and charged with possession of stolen
property.


Felony Order Violation/1200 blk W10th-
Female reported that a male jumped out from
a garage in front of her vehicle as she was leaving her apartment complex. He lay over
the hood of her car until she backed up a long distance and was able to leave. There is a
no contact order between the two and the male has a previous arrest for violating this
same order. She returned to her apartment about an hour later. When she went inside
the male was in her apartment. She fled back to her car and tried to leave. The male
threw a glass hitting the female's car. Officers located the suspect in the area and
booked him on felony order violation. The case is also being reviewed for additional
burglary charge.


Burglary/00 blk N Tweedt Pl- Complainant reported that someone entered her
apartment and stole her phone and $150 cash while she was away this morning. She
advised that an acquaintance of hers may be who stole her property. A check showed
the suspect is in jail work crew however did not show up today. A witness was foundthat saw a male suspect leaving the apartment at the time of the burglary. Follow up
being conducted by investigating Officer.


Burglary/2500 blk W 27th-A shed at the church was broken into with the lock cut.
Gasoline was taken from the shed. The shed was full of other property that was not
disturbed. No suspects.


A-Shift


Auto Theft Attempt/800 blk W 5thAve- Complainant reported an unknown suspect
attempted to steal his 1998 Cadillac. The vehicle was parked along the side of his
residence at the time. The suspect cut the ignition wires and damaged the dash area.
The suspect left behind tools which were collected and dusted for latent prints, no were
located. A cell phone was also located and the victim had checked the photos on it.
There were photos of an unknownmale and female approximately 30 years old.


Malicious Mischief DV/1100 blk W 10thAve-Officers responded to this address for a
report of two males physically fighting outside. Upon arrival officers contacted and
detained two males. The first male had gone to his brother's residence to collect
money. The first male was highly intoxicated and not paid the money and became
angry. He broke the glass to a fire extinguisher mount outside the apartment and then
punched the second subject's windshield breaking it. Neither male complied with
orders when contacted and the first male resisted arrest. He was booked for Malicious
Mischief, Malicious Mischief DV, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Second subject
was booked for obstructing and disorderly conduct.


Disturbance/4600 blk W Clearwater Ave-Officer Marquette responded to a
disturbance in the parking lot. Female reported that she had been talking with a male in
her vehicle when two males approached the male's vehicle and punctured a tire with a
knife. The males then walked toward her vehicle in a threatening manner, one male still
holding the knife. The males then got back into their vehicle and drove away. The male
also fled the scene prior to police arrival. Officers checked the area and RO's address on
the suspect vehicle but did not locate it.


CAT


Warrant Arrest/Kennewick & Vista Way-CAT observed 30 year old male at this location
and arrested him for 1 warrant. He is aging member and was booked into Franklin
County Jail.
