YAKIMA, Wash. - Monday, NBC Right Now brought you Daniel Blizzard in court on attempted murder charges for hiring Luis Gomez-Mengez and Adriana Mendez to kill 78-year old Vern Holbrook back in May.
Tuesday Jill Taylor was arrested and is being held for attempted murder.
Taylor was the former daughter-in-law of Vern Holbrook and girlfriend at the time of Daniel Blizzard. According to police, Daniel Blizzard allegedly hired Luis Gomez-Mengez and Adriana Mendez to kill Holbrook after a deal to buy his business, 'Aspen Realty', fell through. Up until now, Taylor had not been implicated in the case. The Yakima Sheriff's Office arrested the 38-year old Taylor Tuesday in relation to the attempted murder. She was connected to the case through numerous interviews and cell phone records obtained by investigators.
Holbrook remains in the hospital recovering from his severe injuries.
