BENTON CITY, Wash. - If you're interested in learning more about wines on Red Mountain and the folks behind them, the Red Mountain AVA Block Party is next weekend.
This year marks the second anniversary for the event, hosted by the Red Mountain American Viticulture Area Alliance, and will feature 16 wineries on the mountain.
Organizers say guests will be able to take a trolley ride to the participating wineries. There will also be grape stumping, classes on aroma, food and wine pairings and vertical tasting.
"You're talking to wine makers...you're learning about the grapes that are being grown out here and you're really finding out why Red Mountain is such a special place when it comes to wine, said John Dobken, the chairman for the block party.
The Red Mountain AVA Block Party is Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., on Red Mountain in Benton City.
