Local Veterans Coalition Gets Big Bucks From a Yakima Company

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.--The Yakima Valley Veterans coalition receives their biggest donation to date.

Magic Metals of Yakima and Mirror Magic presented a check for $7,000 on Thursday.

The donors said this is just their small way of giving back to our servicemen and women. They want to encourage other businesses around the Yakima Valley to do the same.

"We owe everything to the soldiers for the freedom that we have today, and the lives that we're able to live because of their service and their families and their sacrifices," said Jennifer Griggs with Magic Metals of Yakima.

Part of the money will be used for the annual Veterans Stand Down and Benefits Fair in October, and remaining funds will be used to pay for local veteran services.
