Educational Edge Expo

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Educational Edge Expo Saturday at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick offers students, parents and teachers a look at learning resources in our community.

The expo included booths and activities to inform people about everything from tutoring, music lessons and driving school.

The expo also focused on young students' futures with colleges and employers there to teach them about career paths.

"The thrust is education. We really want our kids in Washington and particularly eastern Washington to graduate. We want to see them thrive. And the education system in our area is top notch, but some parents just need a little extra assistance," said Veronica McGlothan, event organizer.

McGlothan hopes the expo will encourage families to put education first and guide young students to earn a college degree.
