Many Local County Unemployment Rates Decreased in August
NBCRightNow.com - State unemployment rates in Washington went up slightly in August but many local county rates went down.
Washington's unemployment rate is up for the second month in a row from 6.9% in July to 7.0% in August. However, Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla, and Kittitas Counties decreased while Yakima County increased.
Benton County: 8.1% to 7.8% Franklin County: 8.8% to 7.5% Walla Walla County: 6.8% to 6.1% Kittitas: 7.8% to 7.0% Yakima: 8.0% to 8.8%
