First Day Enrollment Up Five Percent at CBC

PASCO, Wash. - Columbia Basin College says enrollment numbers are up significantly as classes opened Monday for fall quarter.

On Monday full-time equivalent student enrollment totaled 5,524 compared to 5,186 in fall of 2012. That is an increase of five percent. The total number of students attending classes on the first day was 7,088.

The college saw a 12 percent increase in Running Start enrollment with 851 students. Running Start allows high school juniors and seniors to take college classes without paying tuition.
