Community Members Register to Vote for Upcoming Election

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - One in 4 Americans isn't registered to vote. Tuesday, the League of Women voters teamed up with NBC Right Now to change that.

The general election is right around the corner, and Tuesday was also National Voter Registration Day. Our news team and the League of Women voters set up at Yoke's off road 68 in Pasco to help more people in our community get registered to vote and cast their ballots this year.

"We hope to get as many people registered as we can. It's really important to make the decisions across our country and politics. If you don't register, you can't vote. Voting is quite simple here in Washington," said League of Women Voters member Judy Golberg.

300,000 people signed up to vote nationwide on this day last year. If you want to register to vote,
just head to your county auditor's office. You can also register online at myvote.wa.gov.
