Yakima Police Investigating Suspicious Device Found in Neighborhood

UPDATE / YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima Police say the suspicious device found in a residential neighborhood turned out to be a tube filled with fireworks or firecrackers.

Police say they're still looking for whoever left the tube along the 300 block of Seventh Street. 

Officers called in the bomb squad from the Yakima Training Center Wednesday afternoon after a homeowner found it.

Police evacuated the area while the bomb squad safely removed it.
