HERMISTON, Ore. - The Umatilla County Sheriff's Office has issued a potential crime property notice on a home in Hermiston.
Deputies say within the last few months, the home at 1735 NE 2nd Street has been the repeated site of several arrests, numerous crimes involving thefts, stolen vehicles, weapons and drug activity.
According to the Umatilla County Code of Ordinances, properties that have been the repeated site of designated criminal activities and/or nuisance activity, can be considered a "Crime Property". The property owner is then responsible for abating the problems or they will face penalties, including the closure of the property.
Deputies say while this particular home is technically in the county, it's surrounded by city property, so the ordinance applies.
