PASCO, Wash.-- The 11th annual Smartmap Expo kicked off Friday at the TRAC in Pasco.
Local and regional companies set up dozens of booths highlighting the latest technologies and tools.
Many schools also participate in the expo to showcase their classes and student projects.
One booth featured a local high school's STEM projects including hand made electric guitars and ukuleles.
"We share what we do at the high school level, but if also gives us instructors the opportunity to go see what they are doing in our local industry as far as manufacturing is concerned," said Dave Lake, Kiona Benton High School teacher.
The expo includes opportunities to talk to specialists and experience hands on displays.
The trade show featured more than 140 sponsors and exhibitors as well as seminars and presenters from around the world.
