Three Rivers Tattoo Convention Draws Special Guest This Year

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The popularity of tattoos has exploded in recent year. This weekend, the ink, the technology and the artists are all in one place for the fourth annual Three River Tattoo Convention.

More than 60 booths are set up at the Three River Convention Center from all over the west coast.

One special guest is Matt Gone. He has tattoos on 99% of his body, including his tongue, throat and eyeballs.

"I'm fitting stuff in but nothing significant in any square. The overall design, all the major tattooing, it's all done. If I stick a little tiny one in, that's nothing, you know. Just overkill," said Gone.

He said he's covered in about $150,000 worth of ink.

The Tattoo Convention runs all weekend long. Tickets are $35 for all three days or $15 a day.
